When the tag is scanned or tapped, the scan date/time is recorded. GPS co-ordinates are uploaded to your pet profile in the cloud.

Automatic alert notifications sent out via email and owner will receive a SMS detailing the GPS map location of the pet when scanned.

What is it and how it works?

It is a high tech tag. If you ever lost your pet and someone find it, they can simply scan the Qr code or tap their cellphone, automatically it will display your pet profile on www.petoski.com, there they will have all the information about the pet and at the same time an e-mail with the location where the tag was last scanned will be sent to you, also if you wish and have unlocked the contact information, they can just call you or message you to tell you were to find your pet.

How do I install the app?

No app is required, all is designed to be 100% efficient and get your pet back to you as soon as possible.

How do I activate the tag?

The tag is just like any other tag, all what you have to do is go online using the address on the tag to register your pet and fill in its profile with all relevant information and you are done.

Does anybody can see my contact information?

No, this is a choice that you have, you can make it public o private, but we do recommend that you make it public in case you mark your pet status as lost.

What if I do not have NFC enable cellphone?

You can just scan the QR code on the tag.

What is a NFC on my cellphone?

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a set of short-range wireless technologies, typically requiring a distance of 4cm or less to initiate a connection. NFC allows you to share small payloads of data between. Most new cellphone have it, or you can also go to your cellphone setting and enable it.

What is the QR code?

A QR Code, or quick response Code, is a Code that is quickly readable by a cell phone (hence the word “quick” in the name). Using a combination of spacing as a type of Matrix Bar code (a 2-D Bar code), when QR Code is scanned, it conveys a wide multitude of information.

Is this safe for my pet?

Absolutely safe, this is a regular tag for pets, the only different that is high tech, but anybody can put on his/her pat, no veterinarian trip required.

How do I get notified and is the map accurate?

You will be sent an e-mail with information telling you that you pet tag was just scanned and a map with the GPS location were he was last scanned. The map will be accurate.
